FLUENT 6.3 - ample opportunities for computer modelling of CFD-problems
ANSYS, Inc. - the leading world manufacturer of the software in the field of computer modelling and CAE-technologies announced an exit of the new version of program system of CFD-modelling - FLUENT 6.3.
In the new version company ANSYS continues to head for creation of universal CFD-technology. In FLUENT 6.3 the new possibilities expanding it of possibility for modelling of various industrial processes are added.
The important feature of the new version are increase of accuracy, efficiency and stability of calculations. More than 100 new improvements have concerned many tools of modelling in new version FLUENT, including mobile grids, streams with chemical reactions and multiphase streams. The ruler of software products FLUENT is a part of a complex of CFD-programs ANSYS, from the moment of acquisition by company ANSYS, Inc. Companies FLUENT, Inc.
The basic attention in the new version is given kernel improvements solver (Solver) program system FLUENT.
«Coupled solver» the new version unites kernel possibilitiessolver ???????? the previous version FLUENT and contains the improvements raising efficiency, convergence and stability of calculations in many problems.
New Polyhedral grids in FLUENT 6.3 allow to apply flexibility of not structured grid to modelling of difficult geometrical areas without essential expenses of the computer resources inherent in a tetrahedral grid.
Automatic generationPolyhedral ????????????? grids allows to reduce time spent by the user on its creation. Since ????????????? the grid contains smaller cells, than a corresponding tetrahedral grid, convergence of the decision, as a rule, faster.
Improvements have concerned efficiency and flexibility of parallel calculations, including increase in speed of reading and record of files «case» (files of projects) and «data» (files of results). Owners of supercomputers can get also of advantage, using FLUENT 6.3 on platform Windows 64-bit, such as Windows Compute Cluster Server 2003.
In the new version the set of new functionality which allow to model movement more flexibly is added.
The important addition in FLUENT 6.3 - possibility to work with CAE software packages of different firms of manufacturers. Now it is much easier to carry out import and export of files "in" / "from" others CAE software (for example, for Fluid Structure Interaction).
