Siemens SIMOTION SCOUT V4.1 SP4 with DriveES v5.4 SP4
The SCOUT project navigator is the common frame for all tools of the engineering system. This workbench is therefore the navigation center for the individual engineering steps. It is used for creating and managing SIMOTION projects and offers a uniform view of all data and programs. The major innovation is the graphic motion control via Motion Control Chart.

General
Effective immediately, SIMOTION V4.1 SP4 is released for general availability. Its use is generally recommended.
As already announced with the release of the V4.1 SP1 and SP2, SCOUT software will no longer be supplied on a CD as data medium. Effective immediately, the SCOUT software will only be supplied on DVD.
Users with a valid software update service contract for SCOUT will be automatically supplied the upgrade to SCOUT V4.1 SP4 (supplied on DVD).
Licenses for SCOUT V4.1 SP1 and SP2 also remain valid for V4.1 SP4.
SCOUT V4.1 SP4 should be used when configuring/engineering SIMOTION platforms with V4.1 SP4.
SCOUT stand-alone V4.1 SP4 will be released at a later date and this will be published with a separate and dedicated update.
