Scientific/Financial/Geometry Calculator

ProKalc (short for Professional Kalkulator) is a 32-bit Microsoft Windows scientific and financial calculator. This version of ProKalc has a scrollable tape that shows the results of all calculations. ProKalc is an improvement over the Windows calculator since it shows 15 digits with no rounding errors. ProKalc is intended for use with Windows 95, 98, NT, 2000, or XP and may not be used with Windows 3.11 and earlier versions. There is a 16-bit version of ProKalc (called SuperCal) available for use with Windows 3.11 and earlier. SuperCal can be obtained from the home page of this site.

ProKalc is a complete scientific calculator with the standard mathematical functions +, -, x, / as well as numerous math functions. Included are powers, roots, reciprocals, percentage, absolute value, base 10 logarithms, natural logarithms, trigonometric functions, hyperbolic functions, combinations, permutations, etc. ProKalc has a 10-location non-volatile memory -- the value stored in each memory location is saved to file and reinitialized upon restarting ProKalc.

In addition to scientific functions, ProKalc is also capable of a full range of financial calculations. Some of the possible financial calculations are dividend, profit/loss, present value, future value, loan calculations, various types of annuities, interest calculations, investment calculations, and currency conversions.

The result of all calculations are printed to the calculator tape for review and all or part of the scrollable tape can be printed, saved to Windows clipboard, or saved to file. The scrollable tape will hold the results of many calculations and will store well in excess of 1000 lines. For those who prefer a calculator with no tape, ProKalc"s tape can be hidden from view.

ProKalc is very intuitive and easy to use. Even so, integrated help is available throughout the program giving help on all calculator functions. The user also has the ability to turn a "hint" feature on so that a small pop-up hint box appears as the mouse cursor is moved over the buttons on the calculator face. The latest version allows the user to configure many features in the program, including window location and the color of various screen elements.

Windows XP Themes capability has been added as of version 7.7a of ProKalc.

ProKalc is very useful for students, professionals, engineers, educators, businesspersons, and homeowners.

Chemissian offer tools for building electronic UV/VIS spectra directly from quantum-chemical data from GAMESS, Firefly(PC-GAMESS) or GAUSSIAN output files:
  • Build spectrum in one step: just load Gamess/Firefly/Gaussian outputs with TDDFT/CIS data.
  • Having experimental spectra you can compare it with the calculated ones on the single diagram in the same wavelength scale.
  • Any number of spectra may be added on single diagram, which is useful, e.g. when solvent influence on the spectrum is considered.
  • Like in MOs editor it is possible to move between spectra peaks and correlate the current peak with transitions between MO energy levels.

Save the results in a single file
Save the obtained document in a special file format, which allows to keep all data in a single compressed file (uncompressed wave function takes up a lot of disk space!); at any time you will be able to open and continue working with the saved document, analyze, edit the data, send it to your colleagues.
